Maui police cold case unit highlights missing persons cases, seeks help in locating them : Maui Now

The Maui Police Department has released short videos highlighting missing persons cases that are being investigated by the department’s Cold Case / Missing Person Detail unit.

Yosuke Haga, 91, is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was 58 years old when he was reported missing on Aug. 21, 1991 by his family after he failed to return to his hotel after being dropped off at the south end of the parking lot next to the then Maui Prince Hotel in Mākena. Haga was last seen wearing a light purple shirt, blue and white checkered pants, a white rimmed hat, and may have had a walking cane. (Case No. 91-046586)

Jay Cochran, 68, is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 134 pounds with white hair and brown eyes. He was reported missing on March 2, 2013 by his family after he failed to contact them for several months. Cochran’s family last spoke to him in December 2012 and believes he was living in Lahaina at the time he disappeared. It is unknown what Cochran was wearing at the time of his disappearance. Michael Long, 52, is described as 6 feet tall, weighing 175 pounds with gray hair and blue eyes. He has an eagle tattoo on his right arm. Long was reported missing on Feb. 13, 2020 by his family after they had not heard from him since June 2019. Long was known to hang out in Lahaina; however, he spent most of his time in Kīhei. It is unknown what he was wearing when he disappeared. (Case No. 20-006779)

Billy Oliveira, 47, is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. On July 16, 2015, Oliveira was reported missing by family members. Oliveira was last seen at his residence in Nāhiku on July 13, 2015. He was wearing blue jeans, a black jacket, unknown colored t-shirt and running shoes. In January of 2017, Maui police issued an update saying the search remained active. (Case No. 15-028924)

Aidan Dungan, 27, is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 152 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He has an infinity and a dollar ($) sign tattoo on his knuckles, and a “save water” tattoo on his knee. Dungan was reported missing by family members on Dec. 15, 2019. He was last seen in Wailuku on Nov. 7, 2019. It is unknown what he was wearing at the time of his disappearance. (Case No. 19-051258)

Brandon Romero, 41, is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 155 pounds with brown eyes and a bald head. He was reported missing on Oct. 17, 2022. Police say Romero was last heard from on Sept. 5, 2022, and last seen in Hāna on Sept. 6, 2022. It is unknown what he was wearing when he disappeared. His vehicle was found unattended at Kaumahina State Wayside Park on Sept. 7, 2022. (Case No. 22-033344)

Noquisi-Ama Blossom, 43, is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 15 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. She has a scar on her left index finger and above her right eye, and a tattoo of the words “until death” on her right forearm. She was reported missing on Oct. 31, 1995. Blossom was last seen in Makawao by a family member at her residence on Oct. 18, 1995. It is unknown what she was wearing when she went missing. She has gone by the name Daisa, according to police. Khiara Henry, 27, is described as 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighing 105 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was reported missing on July 26, 2019. Henry was last seen renting a vehicle from Hertz Rental Cars in Kahului on July 21, 2019. Her rental vehicle was found unattended at Waiʻānapanapa State Park on July 25, 2019. Henry was wearing a black colored t-shirt, black yoga-style pants, black socks and white shoes at the time she rented the vehicle. (Case No. 19-030553)

Gianina Reid, 28, is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 125 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. She has a half moon tattoo on her forehead and unknown words tattooed on her right rib area. Reid was reported missing on June 29, 2021. She was last seen at an acquaintance’s residence on Molokaʻi on June 24, 2021. It is unknown what Reid was wearing t the time of her disappearance. Her vehicle was found unattended later that day at Palaʻau State Park. (Case No. 21-022709)
