Netflix Launches Spatial Audio Support On iPhone and iPad!
Popular TV and movie app Netflix has launched Spatial Audio support for iOS and iPadOS.
Popular TV series and movie platform Netflix continues to integrate new features that will increase the user experience with devices. Although not officially announced, according to the information confirmed by Netflix officials, the company states that they have added Spatial Audio support for iOS and iPadOS 14.
It draws attention when an iPhone XS Max owner running iOS 14 feels Spatial Sound in the Netflix app and announces it on Reddit. After a few more users can watch TV shows and movies with the same sound quality, 9to5Mac authors confirm that this feature is released by contacting Netflix.
Spatial Sound technology, which offers a 360-degree sound experience with Dolby Atmos, can be managed from the control center of iOS and iPadOS. Apple describes the Spatial Audio support offered exclusively to AirPods Pro and AirPods Max with these words:
While watching a supported show or movie, AirPods Max and AirPods Pro use spatial sound to create an immersive surround sound experience. Spatial audio includes dynamic head tracking. With dynamic head tracking, you'll hear surround sound channels in the right place, even if you turn your head or move your iPhone.
In addition, iOS 15 brings Spatial Sound technology to different points by giving you the chance to experience Spatial Sound in non-Dolby Atmos content. This allows AirPoda Pro and AirPods Max users to listen to almost any song or video with Spatial Audio.
If you don't see Spatial Audio support in the Netflix app, you can update to the latest version from the App Store. Netflix states in its statement that this feature is only available to certain audiences and will spread all over the world over time.
